I was cooking so I wasn’t really paying much attention. I told her and she ran off. this morning I got up and walked by her bedroom door and saw this sign on the door. it makes me smile. these are the things that I MUST document. I’m sure we will all get a million laughs out of it now and later in life.

A few nights a go we decided to visit the bookstore. Just because we love the bookstore and not for any other reason. Here is where I mention that there is a Krispy Kreme across the street. I don’t like donuts, but the kid and the fiance sure do. We made a quick stop for a dozen donuts and then continued on to the bookstore. Of course I can ALWAYS find something to buy there, even a few somethings to buy there. I think I, solely, keep them in business (please let me know if there are any books I review on my blog that you would like to read and I would be more than happy to send it to you). Olivia likes to play with the train (Thomas? I think.) set they have in the kids section. usually I agree as long as I can find a book or two to look at first while she plays. On my way to the design book section I picked up a few 75% off books. Then planted myself on the carpet in front of design books (I don’t know why, but I love sitting on the floor). Olivia is standing near me being such a patient little girl. She can see the train set from where we are and surprisingly isn’t asking me every second if I’m done yet. I’m pretty into a particular book when she leans over, near my ear (she’s standing I’m sitting on the floor), like she has a special secret to tell me. Now if you have kids you know that most the time they are pretty random and I LOVE that about them.

She quietly whispers…

“I can’t wait until I can eat a donut.”

In her most serious and secretive voice.

Which of course causes me to scoop her up, laughing and plant a million kisses all over her little face.

I think that small, innocent sentence made my whole week.

we got Olivia one of those idog’s they are giving away at Burger King.

side note: It’s really just a bobble head that looks like an idog. I was very disappointed, but that’s a different story.

She loves the little thing and hasn’t put it down since last night.

This morning while I was getting dressed she was playing around with it in my bedroom. Here was the conversation (or really just what she said).

her – I’m going to put this dog down my pants so I can run and I don’t have to carry it.

me – ok

she puts it down her pants…

her (giggling) – it’s cold and it tickles.

That made me laugh.

Then we went to brush our teeth…

me – I farted, it’s stinky.

her – I didn’t hear it though.

me – that’s because it didn’t make any noise.

her – that’s what I do so people don’t know I farted or I open my mouth and act like it’s a burp instead.

Man, I love this girl. She always makes me smile and laugh.
